Question Case-for-your-mini - 03-25-2009, 12:05 AM

Hi everyone
So while this isn't really an OSX topic, I thought I'd post this (seeing that mine just came today). While I was searching the Ubuntu websites for infomation I came across this page about a cheap sleave for the Dell Mini:
http://www.ubuntumini.com/2008/11/cheap ... -mini.html
Well I took a chance (it worked out to be 6.00 Canadian free shipping to boot) and it arrived today. Other than a strong chemical like smell it's exactly as shown. Very good value... Just want to give back to the terrific community here.

P.S if anyone has questions, or what to see another pic... let me know!

I've got the same sleeve and the Mini fits perfectly.

If you put the sleeve outside the window for 2 or 3 nights the neoprene smell will go away almost everything.

for 5$ shipping free it does its job very well!

I got one from Wal Mart for DVD Players 7-10" and it fits great, and was 7.99 for a Case Logic sleeve.

I have the same case from the original post. I fluffed it in the dryer on air only to help reduce the neoprene smell. Ran it through twice, turning it inside out the second time.

i picked up a Kroo reversible sleeve, has a cool flap that closes it, it was only 12 bucks and doesn't smell.

I bought my case from psyopper on the for sale part of the forums on this link:

Its very well made and looks great, he also does less girly looking ones as well, I can thoroughly recommend them.

I had one of those. That's not what I call a perfect fit. It was at least an inch too deep. Maybe even 2".

I bought a zippered Incase neoprene sleeve at Target for the Asus Eee 9" and it fits the Dell mini9 perfectly. Comes in black, blue, and purple. It was $12.99. No plasticky smell. They have shoulder bags there for the 9" netbooks as well, with compartments for accessories and charger.

Hey, I got the same one! Bought it two days before my Mini arrived in the mail. High Five!
