What desktop.ini fix?

Edit: Oh, that.

I haven't installed 7057 yet, probably won't either. 7048 has been fine, and I don't feel like rebuilding my Mini yet again right now. I have 7057 running in a virtual machine on my home desktop for now.

I'll also be trying 7057.

Grumble. Tried an upgrade from 7000 to 7057. A couple of hours later I get an error about testcompat.dll "not compatible with this version of Windows" - except it's a DLL from the installation itself! I'd rather not do a clean install, but perhaps I'll try that next.

I'm glad you posted the above as I read the same thing but thought it may be a rumor. I like being able to extend the time too.

7057 is a no-go for me. The clean install did install, but it did not work well. On restart, I would come up to just a blank screen with the cursor showing. If I did manage to log in, Windows Explorer would not start. Eventually I gave up and restored my 7000 backup. Too bad, as some things did look nice while I had it.

Same here, no problems using the 4-step USB install method posted in this forum.
