Default Inspiron Mini 10v - Calibrated Color Profiles - 08-19-2009, 04:16 AM

Hey:

I was using a Huey Pro to calibrate my 10v, and generated 6 color profiles for use:

Temperature Gamma
D70 2.4
D70 2.2
D70 1.8
D65 2.4
D65 2.2
D65 1.8

To install, simply unzip the profile files, and drop it into ~Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ and select it via monitor preferences panel.

My monitor is the LG variant with 1280x600 resolution. I know everyone's monitor varies, but thought maybe this can be useful/fun/helpful to some.

Enjoy.

My Goodness.

This is exactly what I am looking for.

Do you have any comments about Huey Pro. I may need one.

huey pro is very simple to use. It has exactly the same hardware as the regular Huey and only differs in software though. So if you don't need a slightly more advanced configuration, regular huey does just fine.

It's sort of an "idiot proof" solution by X-Rite for Pantone; the downside is that there aren't that many options or frills. It is very small which is nice. I think the calibrated colors has a slightly high magenta hue, something my friend who also has huey found to be true. YMMV, however, and maybe we just got used to really blue-cast screens.

Thanks for feedback.

Could you please make some comments about the quality of mini 10v screen? As we know the vertical viewing angle is a big problem, how to combat against it? What is the best practice to get maximum authentic true color out of it?

I just started looking into this area and I hope I can do some PS works on the netbook.

Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing, mate; however I can't get the attachment at all. Anyone else care to upload it here, in the thread? Perhaps ciaconne yourself, again? Thanks in advance!

Sorry mate, I had no idea at all. I thus retract my request. Cheers.

That's like saying you can't share a .doc file because MS Office/Word isn't freeware.

The post wasn't offering copies of HueyPro (which would have been pointless, since the software only works in conjunction with the hardware component), but profiles they created for their mini 10v.
