Just placed an order for the 1012. Had an order for the 1011 that got canceled by Dell. I dont care about OS X on my Mini so I figured I would get the newest deal Dell has.
Found one on ebay (brand new factory sealed) that has everything I was looking for and was $40.00 less than Dell's page so I said what the heck!

Its Cherry Red which I really wanted so thats cool..

Will share pics when I get it if interested.

You should post up some pics of your new machine

Fed-Ex says it will be here on Wednesday. If I have time on Wed night I will snap some shots and upload them. If not Wed night I can do it this weekend for sure.

It's here. First impression.. Not nearly as bad as I was thinking it was going to look. In fact, I like it. Who knew?
Anyway. I am too scared to crack the case to upgrade the Wi-Fi card. So for now I am going to leave the 1397 Stock card in there. Upgrading the RAM and HD was a breeze though!
A few pics to come later..

Just placed an order for the black 1012 off of the outlet. Would like to see your pix, if you decide to post them.

I also placed an order from Dell Outlet for a black 1012. It came out to $270 total with tax and shipping. Not too bad, but it comes with the 3 cell battery and the wireless b/g card as opposed to n.

Should be here by the Thursday the 18th.

So what RAM should I look for to upgrade to 2GB? Also, will it be possible to add an internal bluetooth module?

I'll post pics when I get it as well :-)

The Dell 365 Bluetooth module is a quick snap and one screw module that is under the palm rest.

I added bluetooth, 64gb SSD and 2gb memory at the same time. Also mine came with wifi g and I was supposed to get wifi n. They are shipping me a replacement Dell 1510 Bluetooth (wifi-n) mini card to swap out.

I also order the broadcom crystalHD pcie card. Problem is I ordered it before cracking my mini 1012 open. My motherboard does not have the pci-e header/connector for the other two slots. I ordered free samples from Molex.com and will try my hand at soldering them in.

Cool, so I should be able to buy the Dell 365 Bluetooth module and self install? That would be sweet! Also, what memory do you recommend for an upgrade to RAM?
