Default Speed up Chameleon? - 10-14-2009, 03:10 PM

OK, so I have snow leopard-- and the 0.8.3 boot loader (chameleon) - works great.

Dumb question-- the FIRST initial screen, which is the new bootloader-- counts down with the blue progress bar. It's cool, useful, but for my tastes, it's taking too long. Is there any way to speed it up, not have it display/pause as long??

I tried enabling "quiet boot", made no difference.

That bootloader document is the exact thing I was looking for. Was unaware that existed! Thanks tons.

It would be very cool to see NBI updated to make more enhancements to the chameleon bootloader preferences file (just a thought) - in terms of the timeout value, etc etc. Just sayin'.

Meanwhile, time to go hunt down that file and change the default of 5 seconds to like, 1. :-)

Yeah, it did what I wanted to do, which was force me to select which OS I want to boot to. Big hairy deal for me.

BTW-- I edited the com.apple.Boot.plist (or whatever the hell it's called) in the /Extras folder.
