I have now got my Mini 10v working with 2GB of memory. I first upgraded to the A03 BIOS and then I installed a new 2GB stick (ordered from eBay UK from seller funkygiraffeuk) and it all worked fine. I don't know whether it was the BIOS upgrade or the new 2GB stick that worked but I am now very happy with my 2GB of ram and no paging file on Windows 7!

Very good. I am using Corsair ValueSelect DDR2 PC5300 667MHz netbook RAM purchased from Fry's.
Cost was $49.99 for two 2GB sticks with a $20 rebate. So, $15 a pop ain't too shabby. I have an extra one awaiting either another discounted 10v or perhaps some blow-out 9/A90.  DropBox. |

Dell sent me a 2GB stick for my Mini 9 and it works great in the 10V. I have another 2GB on order for the Mini 9 now.
 (One of those perks for having a backordered Mini 9 for three months....) |

Put me in now in the category for successfully upgrading to 2gb. After reading BrookeHeather's post, I updated my bios to A03 and then retried the install with the same ram ...this time with success!
This weekend is now my attempt to dual boot osx and xp. Thanks guys for the help. |

Bought a Kingston HyperX 2GB RAM card. KHX4300S2LL/2G is the number for it I think. Worked right away with no problems and I bought it on Newegg.

Upgraded, was much easier than I thought. Anguish your video/posts helped a lot (used a blockbuster card for the wristrest it popped off in seconds with) While I was in there I soldered a usb cable to co-opt on of the left-hand usb ports for an internal mouse dongle - I'm a happy camper =)

Thanks to Anguishs video tutorial I had it apart and back together within 30 mins. I installed the: Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model F2-5300CL5S-2GBSK - Laptop Memory
Works great! I havent really noticed any huge improvements, but then again I still have much tweaking to do! |
