Yeah - I saw this, and got excited, because I had placed a pretty similar order on the 24th. So, i checked my status - canceled. A quick call to Dell explained the order was canceled because there were 2 computers being ordered, but only 1 order number for them, and it should have been 2. The sales associate transfered the canceled sale to 2 new order numbers - and my estimated delivery date got moved back from 4/22 to 5/1 in the process, despite the promise of free overnight shipping to make up for the hassle.

Wow, yea this order was two separate order numbers; both original EDD was 4/25; now Dell states an EDD of 4/8, Fedex is telling me 4/7. They shipped out of TN if it matters to anyone...

I'm sure it will ship well before 5/1; however its pretty crappy that because of THEIR mistake your EDD moves back 9 days

Dell is an extremely frustrating company to work with.

I already have a Mini 9 (got new from eBay last October when they were running that 25% cashback deal with Paypal).

I ordered another one on 3/6 - base black model, 512MB RAM, Ubuntu, 1.3MP Camera, Bluetooth, 64GB SSD with an ETA of 03/25.

03/25 - it's delayed until 04/08.

04/01 - it's delayed until 04/18. I get an e-mail saying that I need to contact them or they will cancel the order. Dell actually calls me and I hit the numbers on the phone to approve the delay and get a confirmation.

04/02 - I get an e-mail that my order has been cancelled. I call up and get a useless "resolution specialist" who really doesn't do anything. I get transferred around about six times, (customer service, DPA, sales, resolutions specialist, and back to DPA again.) (Won't you Dell folks know that there isn't anything wrong with my DPA for goodness sake??)

04/03 - I call someone in Sales when the resolution specialist doesn't call me back. They look up the order and claim I didn't approve the delay (when I did - boy, this organization is a cluster****). He offers to re-enter the order for me.

New estimated delivery date: 05/26/2009.

WTF? Almost *three* months to get another Dell Mini. What the heck is Dell smoking these days?

how about just order from the outlet.... you get it in few days.... except the 64gig will be hard to get...

Hey guys im back with an update as promised,,,

I ordered the mini 9 on 3/25
it arrived yesterday morning at 9:43 am, which was 4/2

this is the fastest order for a computer ive ever witnessed, it was normal ground shipping. Today I spent 8 hours and after putting 2 gb crucial ram in transformed the mini into the ultimate osx netbook. this thing is very stable and everything works (after using external dvd method ) out of the box. I ran the 10.5.6 update and than the dell efi and now this thing is a complete macbook mini. I still cant get over how fast they got this thing here. The only thing I did is called them 3 times asking them when it was shipping so maybe they did something...

any way any questions about orders or mac osx installation pm me... trust me this thing runs osx VERY WELL , it would be a sin to not put it on here..
now I just have to put the apple sticker that came with leopard over the dell symbol

i ordered mine 3/24, the arrive date is 4/22. how can dell expect anyone to wait a month for a computer.
I stepped on my old laptop and broke the screen so i ordered the mini hoping it would come before spring quarter starts. =/

oh im also waitting on my 16gig runcore so i guess im in no rush to get the mini ~_~

Really! I ordered thinking that it would only take a week, maybe 2 at the most, but not a month!
Really hope it at least gets into the boxing stage soon.
