Told you that you'd get there.

You may want to avoid running the system update to 10.6.1 for now, I'm not sure if it's all that stable.

I was wondering if there is a certain trick to booting from a external hard drive with a vostro a90. I restored the image from a retail version of snow leopard ran the bootmaker and changed the bios settings to boot from removable storage then removable media and so on. i can't get the thing to boot. anyone have a clue?

thanks
make sure you enable USB BIOS LEGACY SUPPORT to get it to boot. But you will need to disable that once you get everything going to get sleep to work.
