Question Got my RunCore 32 GB today! - 03-05-2009, 06:23 PM

I got my RunCore 32 GB SSD today! Much sooner than I expected - I ordered it on 26 Feb.

It comes with a small screwdriver, a small USB cable and even two logo stickers. The USB connector on the SSD is not a mini-USB connector (like you would use to connect for example a digital camera), it's a micro-USB connector. (To be precise, it's a micro-AB connector on the SSD, and the cable has a micro-B plug - see Types of USB connector for details).

Now, there's only one small problem... I don't have my Mini 9 yet!! It has been "In Production" for 10 days now. I don't know why it takes Dell so long to produce it...

when did you get your shipment notification? I'm trying to get an idea of when I can expect mine, I'm hoping to get it tomorrow.

I hear that Dell cannot get enough of the LCD's to meet demand, and that's one of those pieces you just can't go without!

Wow you got a little package and a screw driver? Lol I got mine in one of the first batches all I got was the SSD in tiny anti-static bag wrapped in some bubble wrap, the cable and the stickers. The new packaging looks much more protective and professional. But damn, I want a screwdriver too!

I was in this position. If you check online with Dell it shows as "in production". Keep checking each day and it will change to "estimated delivery date". Keep on checking and it will change to "shipped" and will arrive way ahead of the posted date!

You were lucky...I got my SSD wrapped in small bubble wrap, two Runcore stickers, and the invoice...oh and a note about needing to email them if I wanted the cable (they didn't get them with their first shipment). So, no cable, no screwdriver, and no nice packaging.

I ordered it on 26 Feb., I got the shipment confirmation from MyDigitalDiscount and a mail from UPS with the tracking number on 4 Mar., and I already received it on 5 Mar. (in the Netherlands).

Looks like I'm not so lucky...

But my Mini 9... it was in production since 26 Feb., expected delivery 11 Mar., but today I see the dates have been pushed back: in production since 6 Mar., expected delivery 25 Mar. ... Waiting, waiting... (I ordered my Mini 9 on 13 Feb.).
