I use Safari, but if, like me you are running a netbook with a 16GB SSD, the disk space taken up by the cache can get to be a problem after an intensive browsing session - fortunately there is the 'empty cache' command on the File menu.

It's got a lot of fans, but not actually open source.

I'm using Chrome 9 predominantly, but I'm pretty polygamous when it comes to internet browsers. Opera seems better with forum type webpages.

I'm using Firefox, solely for the extensions I need (e.g. Delicious sidebar).

I set my mom up with Chrome on hers and it works great. I'd probably switchi to it as well if not for that.one.extension.

Firefox, because of extensions like FireBug, Mouse Gestures, AdBlock+, FlashBlock, etc.
Other browsers seem so anemic... . I'm a developer, learning Drupal, CSS, SQL, PHP, so ff is the best for my needs. I do use Safari simultaneously so I can be logged as admin on Firefox, and a test user on Safari.

If you are a typical user, though, I'd say Safari seems to load pages a bit faster, especially the recently released update. Oh and Click2Flash is a must-have ext.

Cheers
