Okay, so please bear with me a bit, I'm a bit tech illiterate, but I'm trying my best.
So I got bought a Dell Vostro A90 with Mac OS X 10.6 already loaded on it and ready to go, which was pretty awesome because I like to have a netbook for traveling and hate Windows. It was working fine and great until it did a software update (which I accepted without thinking because I always update right away when the option pops up on my other Mac) and then when it came back on after the update... no wifi. It says, in fact, that my airport is not configured and that my airport is off. I tried choosing to turn it on, but that yielded no results. I also tried using the disk utility which is what I normally do when anything goes funky with my regular mac, but no success there either.
I messaged the guy I bought the laptop from and he said it sounded like I deleted the wifi and sound card drivers (though how I achieved this, I have no idea). He says I need to reinstall drivers and sent me about a billion links (one of which lead me to this forum), but I have no idea what to do with any of them. My mac mini is not connected to the internet whatsoever (ethernet isn't working either, though that might be to do with my system administrator and my lack of knowledge of IP addresses) but I do have access to my tablet, another mac, and a Windows laptop. If someone could point me in the direction of the specific driver I should use, that would be lovely. Or if it would be easier for me to just reboot the whole OS or whatever, that is totally fine by me. I have absolutely no need of anything on the harddrive.
