Default Windows Experience Index compared with 11z - 01-12-2011, 11:16 PM

Here are my Windows Experience scores from my dual core K325 M101z laptop (Windows 7 Pro 32-bit):

Processor: 3.8
Memory: 5.1
Graphics: 3.2
Gaming Graphics: 4.9
Hard disk: 5.7

For comparison here the scores from my dual core SU4100 11z laptop:

Processor: 4.0
Memory: 4.7
Graphics: 3.0
Gaming Graphics: 3.2
Hard disk: 5.7

So it looks like the K325 is a bit slower than the SU4100 but the Radeon integrated graphics are faster for gaming.

Interesting to see the single core is rated almost the same as the dual core given the single core is quite a bit cheaper to buy.

Any good way to improve the on-board Intel graphics for the i3 11z? How much does that Aero score matter?

Here are my numbers:

Processor: 4.1
Memory: 5.1
Graphics: 3.3
Gaming Graphics: 4.6
Hard disk: 5.7

I'm new to the Dell line, but I'm having a hard time figuring out if I should be reading the 11z section or the M101z section. By the numbers, the i3 Dell (model 1121) is a M101z, but with an Intel processor/hardware...

No the M101z is an Inspiron 1120 and has an AMD cpu and graphics - it is very different to the 11z with Core i3.

Good to know, because when I look up my model number "1121" it was taking me to the M101z page Inspiron M101z Laptop Details | Dell, but I noticed that it was all AMD.

Actually, I cannot find any reference to the i3 11z on dell.com.

It seems to just be a special for Sprint at the moment - hopefully it will be available directly from Dell (and in the UK) at some point.
