Outside of 2.2 coming in the "Summer", Does anyone have a better idea of time for the update in the UK?

The 2.2 Froyo update should happen at the same time the US update does. And it will be a direct update for those that already own the device.

HEY! I'm glad to see there are other people who want to see android on the 10v! I tried a distro from Dell Mini - magicandroidapps.com Wiki the 2.1 image and everything worked fine except you must use VESA graphics to get things to show up correctly. I am an android developer and I know java/xml quite well but I have no idea where to start to work on debugging android on the 10v.

To answer the question asked in the first post in this thread, I have just installed Ubuntu 11.04, and am very pleased with the outcome.

Everything seems to have been recognised without any problems, and the new interface has some slight similarities to OS X (Snow Leopard) which I was using before it 'expired'.

It is much easier to get 'up and running' initially also!

Mini 10v - Product (RED) - BIOS A06 - Ubuntu 11.04 - 2GB RAM - 60 GB OCZ Vertex SSD - Bluetooth - Intel 6205 Wi-Fi - WWAN

Default Best battery life? - 03-26-2014, 10:39 PM

I know that this thread and the Mini 1010 are both old now,
however I was wondering if anyone has managed to get a version of Android running on the Mini 1010?

I am currently running XUbuntu and am looking for the best version of Ubuntu also.

By "best version" I mean battery life.
I am looking for an OS to give me the most battery life, while using my mini 1010 for internet browsing or tablet like functions.

TIA for the replies
