Just upgraded my Mini 1018 with an 2GB stick from Team (Elite So-DIMM DDR3 1066).
Works fine

Hei Levon is this the ram you used:

If yes I am gonna order it lol my gf lappy is really slow and I would want to install windows 7 pro 64bit if possible :P or Ubuntu (It feels slow even on Ubuntu with 1gb ram!!!!)

RM84 on `lelong` portal is average price since my I- 6400 DDR2 for + 1GB costing me RM90.

One of my local IT suppliers has told me that if I was buying RAM for a Dell Mini 9 then I should use Kingston as their other 'value brands' are known not to work properly. He strongly encouraged me to buy at that stage as they don't have many in

But I think I'll wait until the device turns up

Just upgraded my 1018 with 2gb crucial ram as recommended from their website and works perfectly. Only discovered this after trying two different cheap ram modules (high density). I believe the 1018 and most newer laptops/netbooks will only accept low density ram.

I changed my 1018's s RAM to a Kingston 2gb and it worked for 2 months then my hard drive failed and when my computer came back from dell (with 1gb ramwitch i fited in befor sending it) it woudn't work with my 2gb ram so I got it changed and it still doesn't work!

I haven't found anything yet on the internet that would solve this...
