Yep, thanks for sharing. Keep the updates coming - I still haven't completely ruled one of these out for me. Although I still think it may not be the right fit for my needs I still enjoy reading about good tech and how others experiences are.

I'm in the process of installing several of my Steam games right now. I know we've all seen 3DMark06 numbers for the M11x, but I'm taking a different approach. I'm going to take video of some different games so you can see for yourself how well they run. Synthetic especially, and even FPS benchmarks don't give us a true feel of how the game plays.

Cheers,
Charlie

Also, on the game performance front, I tried out Shattered Horizon, which is a DirectX 10-only space FPS on Steam, and with balanced quality settings, it is very playable @ 1366x768. Amazing.

Just a little preview there so you know the gaming capabilities on DirectX 10 are excellent.

Cheers,
Charlie

I wish they'd do a plain Dell version. I don't like the Alienware branding. Course I still wouldn't say no to one...

I tested Bioshock earlier too. High settings @ 1366x768 runs like butter. Smooth as silk. I don't think it even runs that smooth on my desktop!

Cheers,
Charlie

Hey all,

The gameplay video is still coming - between work and school I've been busy this week and barely been able to spend any time with my new M11x.

Cheers,
Charlie
