Hi all,

I have 10.04 on my mini9; in the sound prefs when I choose "sound input" and the built-in mic, the bar moves if I talk.

however in apps such as sound recorder, google voice, they don't receive any input.

I ran the "hardware drivers" util and it reports that no proprietary drivers are in use on the system.

Any quick for or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

I never use it but after a quick test it works.

recorded as a mp2 file using headphones with a mic attached


My Sound preferences tabs are;
Hardware is analog stereo duplex & set at 100%. mute is not checked

Input volume is set for 100% as is output, mute is not checked. Internal audio analog stereo shows as the device for sound input.

Output volume is set for 100%, mute is not checked. Internal audio analog stereo shows as the device for sound output. Connector is for Analog Speakers.
