Got my refurbished 10v. Fittingly, Windows XP kept hanging on it, but I figured if I was going to have to return it anyway might as well try OSX. Worked like a charm.

I picked one up to use for our upcoming trip to Hawaii. Seems like a decent little machine so far. I tweaked XP to look like Windows 7 for now. For $219 w/ free shipping, I can't complain.

I bought from the outlet - twice. Both machines are awesome and flawless.
A friend has bought new and had nothing but problems.

The lesson here? Buy new and you get the problems that make you return it.
Buy refurb'd and you get the same unit the other guy got but with the problems already fixed.
Bottom line - let them pay more to get the hassles. Buy at the outlet for less and leave the hassles for the other fellow.

10V, dual booting 10.6.2 and Win7 Ultimate. 2gb ram, 320gb (7200), bluetooth, 6 cell battery

many think "refurbished" means it was previously returned or had a previous defect. Company's reclassify their "overstock" as refurb so they can reap additional tax breaks. Which means, your basically getting a brand new, overstocked, discontinued item for a great price.

I got mine yesterday and was worried as i read refrubs that it might not be in a very good state. To be honest i'm yet to find on the case itself any scratch or anything.

Only thing that seems missing is one of those windows sticker because they sold with windows 7 i have a feeling it might have carried a windows xp sticker previously. Pretty much spot less.

I bought one today, to join the 9 my wife has all but commandeered. I was strongly considering a 1012, but I just don't see it when I got a comparable 1011 for more than a third off. If I get bored, I can go down this Hackintosh road -- no guarantee yet about that with the 1012.

Default $259 -15% - 01-22-2010, 08:43 PM

Is $259 -15% the best right now from the outlet?

Is there any difference in graphics for youtube kind of quality between the different models?

Thanks in advance,
Martin

I like buying the "previously ordered new" outlet items....

Again people realize that there is no CD/DVD drive and return them... "like new"

look for the "N280" 1.66MHz (1660) processors... almost same price... and 6 cell battery...

The lowest price at the time of posting is for Dell 10V - Outlet Intel Atom N270 10.1" Netbook (1GB/160GB/3-Cell) or $185.15 Free Shipping after 15% off Coupon Code: M$QZ9DZ7C12RD3
