hello,
as a proudly user of a 1011 os x 10.6.6 now my first step in this forum.
i use a dell and no mac air as "emergency office" if i am on the way, because of the smaller measurements.
Therefore i need a MS office - primary word - my problem is the postualted screen resolution from 1280x800 for office 2011 - or 1024x768 for office 2008.
nevertheless someone uses one of the office software without problems ?
which version is the better one ?

I use office for Mac 2004 on my mini with no problems, never had to manually re_set the screen resolution size for it, although i've got hold of office for mac 2008 for my real Macs I haven't updated it on my mini yet. should do really, dunno if that helps you much.

I run 2011 office on my 1011 running 10.6.6, It does it without any problem, the only screen size issues is when the program launches and it gives you a choice of templates. the 'ok' button is out of the screen, you can easily disable this.

The one thinking I would say is that Office on Mac is a pretty clumsy program and isn't that quick to launch (just tried it, took 12s to launch with only Safari running but 2GB of Ram would go a long way to solving this).

Have you thought of using openoffice or scriviner instead?
