Default New Bluetooth Stack for Windows 7 - 10-10-2009, 04:54 PM

Credit goes to Tseng in the gsmforums.
I bought a bluetooth headset (logitech freepulse) and wanted a more updated bluetooth stack. I did some research over at gsmforums and their solution works well for the mini 10 (with 2046 chipset) as well.

simply navigate to the lenovo website:
Lenovo Support & downloads - Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II for Windows Vista - ThinkPad

download and install:
7zbv12ww.exe

Installed very smoothly and affords you one of the newer Widcomm stacks 6.2.0.9600.

A screen grab is attached, illustrating a dedicated A2DP window that this version brings.

I tried using the broadcom updater but it errors out at the "detecting hardware" stage and says i should contact dell.

I had the same problem using the Broadcom updater. Glad it wasn't just me.

Will this one allow for use of "My Bluetooth Places" I really dislike using the XP version and not being able to delete pairings.

That doesn't work for me either... it says "No Bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to continue installation".

Between that and the TV Tuner, Windows 7 Ultimate is not fully working.

that happened to me, and the solution is to go to the Wireless enable/disable applet and check Enable Bluetooth. and btw, I used downloaded Bluetooth drivers from Dell

I used the Windows 7 32-bit Broadcom Bluetooth driver that Dell has on their website for the Mini 10 (1010). My bluetooth stereo headset (Best Buy Insignia brand) now works with my Vostro A90 running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I think I had to re-discover my Dell Bluetooth Travel mouse after the update.

The driver is release date of 10/14/2009 and version V6.2.0.9600, A00.
