Default Dell mini VS morning coffee - 03-25-2010, 12:54 AM

Hi I am new and this is my first post here. Ok here it is this morning I spilled a cup of coffee on my wifes mini . I turned it over real fast go all liquid out as fast as I could and powered unit down. I let unit dry all day. I turned unit on and it powers up like a champ. I can get on the internet and sound works too. The only problem I am having is some keys on keyboard are not working. Scattered across keyboard. Are keyboards easy to replace on these units? Do I need to let unit dry out longer? Does someone know where I can find step by step how to open one of these minis somewhere on the web?
Thanks
And please be easy on me its my 1st post!!!

Thanks that looks easy!! What other damage should I be looking for when I have that keyboard off. Would it hurt to remove now or should I wait until I get the new one?

at this point I dont think it matters, the coffee is already dry might as wait til you get the new keyboard, just make SURE when you order it you order the correct keyboard...is it the 1010 or 1011 that you have, if it has a VGA port its a 1011 else its a 1010, the 1010 is a Mini 10 and the 1011 is a Mini 10v, I think the keyboards are different...also the documentation above is for the 1010, just keep that in mind...I think the keyboard replacement procedure might be the same, and when you do open it up and see any dried coffee, you could GENTLY wipe it with an alcohol prep pad (those are the little pads they wipe your arm with before a shot, diabetics usually have a lot of them laying around, I know my mom used to) or something similar, but I dont think it is real critical
