Yea, some of them can be noisy. But some 5400's can be too. One of the Mini 10's I got from the Outlet had a 5400 rpm HDD so noisy it sounded like the computer had a cooling fan.

Yes, it works in W7 for me (the factory BT module). It gets flaky once in awhile, though, like bluetooth will disappear until I restart or hibernate/resume. I'll bet it's a BIOS thing...
