Re: Cheap Super Small Bluetooth Dongle $5.00

Well I think I'm going to have to outfit my desktop with bluetooth now. Mostly because I can.

Re: 2 GB upgrade

Our chipset is not dual channel capable.

Corsair makes what I consider to be the best RAM. However my Gskill in my mini has been treating me just fine.

Re: Question about SSD

The big thing here is figuring out how the "Machine ID" generated or where it is read from. Without that info I don't think we can go any further. If you let us know where you're getting that number...

Re: Is it safe to overclock?

Overclocking is never really "safe" and I wouldn't do it to the mini9 but most of my desktops are overclocked ranging from mildly, to close to insane amounts.

My rule of thumb is never overclock...

Re: Thank you

I'm not sure I can put myself in the expert category without looking arrogant and seeming like a jerk, but I've helped a few people.

Don't worry I actually enjoying answering and sharing...

Re: Compiz Headtracking via Webcam on Dellbuntu!

I'm really impressed with what you've done here. Last time I tried to do any tracking was with a paintball gun, and it just shot bushes every time the wind blew...

Re: Installing new Runcore drive on Ubuntu mini

I really doubt that Acronis will work on Linux. There are a fistful of ways to do what you want in Linux, most of which include booting from live media.

Re: firefox making a 4 course dinner out of my CPU

Looks fairly normal to me.

I run a 2gig chip in my mini and I never have any issues, however for the sheer vulgarity of it I think I'm going to look into a 4gig chip to see if it is compatible.

Re: What kind of memory card

Hmm could have sworn. But I know for a fact I saw it on here somewhere...

EDIT: Found it, attributed to UnaClocker: sd-card-classes-p17395.html...

Re: Compiz Headtracking via Webcam on Dellbuntu!

You know the creepy factor of that video could be lessened if they put some music over the top of it.

Seriously cool tech though.

Re: Run HP Mi Edition on Dell Mini

The babble I've been hearing on my usually well informed channels is the HP's little respin is severely nerfed. Most notably you have no command line... Is this true?

Re: firefox making a 4 course dinner out of my CPU

Re: Mini 9/12 noe or wait for ASUS Touch Tablet

I think you already answered your own question.

If touch/tablet functionality is the deciding factor for you I'd go spend some time with a few tablets and then mull it over.

I've used tablets...
