Dell mini 9 random shut downs

My mini 9 has a 32GB Runcore, 2GB Corsair ram and 10.6.2. It has been running fine until recently. We'll be surfing the internet when it just shuts down. This happens wether it's plugged in or not...

Yes and I would strongly recommend using DellEFI 1.2a5 as I've found mine runs much better with a few issues going away that were there with 1.1.

I've used a universal adapter for years to install OS X onto various ATA/IDE/SATA hard drives this way. So in theory this method should be possible.
This is a good adapter to use....
