Re: Keyboard size; what's it close to?

I had a 701. The keys were too small for my hands and the right shift key placement drove me crazy. The letter keys on the Mini 9 are just slightly smaller than a regular laptop while the number...

Re: Drink spiled on keyboard now not working

That's great! I would have never thought of the dishwasher. I'll remember that.

Re: Drink spiled on keyboard now not working

Replacement keyboards are cheap (maybe $25 shipped) through Dell and easy to switch out. I would just go ahead and replace it first and see if that fixes it. Good luck.

Re: Battery Loose/Missing SD Slot Cover

I found this http://www.impactcomputers.com/p1890.html. Is it worth $24.95 plus shipping to anyone?! Not me.

Re: Has anyone else noticed...?

You should have the original installation disks from Dell so reinstalling your OS shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Cricket broadband modem

I read somewhere that you could buy a prepaid AT&T phone and add wireless internet to it for the monthly add-on price, something like $20 with no contract. It may not have been 3G though. You might...

Re: Just ordered my Mini with 64GB

Did I miss something? Who said the Dell-provided SSDs are so slow? What I've read on this forum is that the first aftermarket 32GB and 64GB SSDs were painfully slow but the new Runcore SSDs are...

Re: Service code????

A lot of the first round builds had a problem because Dell forgot to change the service codes when they cloned the SSDs. I don't know about the 1510 vs the 1501 you're talking about but mine...

Re: Card reader upper limit???

If you read through the reviews, it seems that many are for the 8GB card -- Amazon has combined the feedback for some reason. :?

Re: Card reader upper limit???

Have you tried any other card in the drive? Might narrow down whether the problem is with the card itself or the drive. What is this supposed "upper limit" per Dell?

Re: Card reader upper limit???

They may have an upper limit but it's not 16GB. Search around this site and you'll find many people who are using 16GB. I am using 8GB.

Re: Buffalo Micro USB memory stick - RMUM-8G/BK

Very cool. I would assume the benefit to having this in addition to using the SDHC card slot that's built in, other than even more storage, would be the ability to boot from it. What a neat little...

Re: Replacement Keyboard more normal

Forgot to come back and post that I found a new home for my US Intl keyboard. It has already been shipped elsewhere. Hope everyone ends up with the keyboard that works for them.

Re: what's this? from AT&T

What you pay the $125 for is the card but it's up to you whether or not you activate it with AT&T to get the $120 rebate. That's what irritated me so much about Dell not putting the slot and antenna...

Re: Going with MS-DOS 3.30 on my Mini 9

You can laugh but I remember running DOS and Basic before Windows and even after. I was stubborn about putting a shell program on my computer when I could use a DOS command to do the same thing and...

Re: Bigger Battery is HERE! 8cell 64Wh

I've even seen them letting laptop users plug in at IHop. I am more interested in a car adapter -- prefereably OEM, DELL, if you're listening.

Re: Replacement Keyboard more normal

Yes. Thank you ssaito0527. Got mine today and it's good but I may go back to the other. I don't like the placement of the apostrophe or the alignment of the number keys on the other one but this...

Did he not have regular tail lights on? I would definitely bring that up, if need be. Good luck...at least I don't need to worry about a Lamborghini in this podunk town.[/quote]

Re: Cracked my Screen.

I am rethinking my ethics since I hit a 2008 Lamborghini Spyder with my 2001 Chevy Cavalier Monday. Now I've been informed that repairs (which would have cost about $3,000 for any other car) may...

Re: Bigger Battery is HERE! 8cell 64Wh

I think it's awful looking and probably weighs as much as the Mini. Not for me.
