Re: Adamo 9 leaked?

I can't believe that someone saw that... that is amazing. Being a Dell employee I cannot say one way or the other about a possible Adamo 9 system. That's what PM's are for. ;)

Re: Overclocking the GMA 950!

I would be willing to try this, but I don't have OSx on my mini. I am interested in putting it on though but I don't know how.

Re: Collection of clear photos

I worked on this machine here at Dell. I must say that I am not completely impressed. I am trying to get my hands on a sample to look at more clearly. If I can get one I will let you guys know.

Re: Mini 10 Review

I am glad to see you are familiar with how to copy and paste. I am truly impressed.

As far as I know, and the core team that worked on the 10 knows, there are no plans for 2gb options. But since...

Re: Mini 10 Review

I have one of these at my desk and I must say that it is a step back from the Mini 9. First, they have iliminated the upgradability of this unit. The cool thing about the Mini 9 is how you can...

Re: Computrace Work Around (EEPROM Clearing Utility)

No. Once the CT software has been enabled and installed it cannot be removed or deactivated. This only works if the CT software is disabled in the BIOS. Once the new BIOS flash comes out this will...

Computrace Work Around

As I am sure most of you know, A04 introduced the Computrace stuff into the Mini. Apparently the implementation is backwards. Meaning, when you flash to A04 the CT stuff is set to "deactivated". ...

Re: A04 BIOS is here...

After you flash to A04, the Computrace setting in the bios is set to "deactivate". If you leave this setting the files will not be there. If you set it to "disable" they will appear. It is best to...

Re: A04 BIOS is here...

I verified with Computrace that the Computrace software is implemented incorrectly with the A04 bios flash. Most likely this will have to fixed in the next bios revision. Computrace is going to...

Re: A04 BIOS is here...

As seem by some other members... there might be computrace implimentation issues. I would recommend not making any changes to the computrace bios setting. I am talking with a representative from...

Re: What Dell stuff do you own?

You can see most of my laptops in my signature. I have worked at Dell for 10 years so I have had time to accumulate some stuff.

Re: A04 BIOS is here...

If you call Tech Support and verify you are the owner, there is a master BIOS password that will allow you to go back in and remove the password. I had a similar issue when I tried to remove the...

Re: MINI 9 Bios Password Locked

I know the issue is not a BIOS password issue, but each MINI has a unique Master BIOS password that you can get from Teech support if you ever lock your BIOS and lose the password. As stated before...

Re: A04 BIOS is here...

Just so you know, the way this works is any BIOS updates after A04 will have this Computrace stuff in it. So the only way you can avoid it is to never flash your bios again.

I am working on...

Re: A04 BIOS is here...

I am not really sure. I can try to get some more info. The best bet would be for someone who has the issue to flash this bios and see if it goes away.
