Its an img not an iso. And it works perfectly fine. No difference between the two. They do the same thing. There are explicit directions on this forum to transfer the img to a USB key using windows...

Honestly, all of them. There is not one piece of software on the default XP home install that is worth keeping. And its a shame its that way. PC OEM's should put worthwhile software on their systems...

The version of Ubuntu Hardy that comes with the Mini has 2 issues at the moment.

1. The kernel can not see more than 1GB of RAM. This will be resolved when Dell puts a new kernel into their APT...

Paired up using the GUI bluetooth applet in the menu bar with absolutely no problem. Just like on my Macs.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the reason its compressed is because it works better that way from a read/write perspective. And it optimizes space. Dell might not make the nicest...

Before you un-compress the drive why don't you pause for a moment to consider why Dell ships it to you compressed. There must be a reason, no?
