I haven't used my Dell Mini 9 in a couple of months, which probably means I can live without it. (Blasphemy!) Anyway, I've gathered up the accessories, and I'm putting it up for sale here. It is the usual black Mini 9, upgraded to 2gb of RAM, and a 64gb RunCore SSD. It also has the webcam and the bluetooth module. No dents, dings, cracks, gouges, or bulletholes. Comes to you from a non-smoking household. Original AC adapter included, as well as a pair of netbook sleeves. One is the standard red/black neoprene sleeve from Dealextreme, the other is a black strechy mesh padded zipper sleeve. I'm updating the listing to include another accessory I found--something I had long forgotten about. I bought a universal AC adapter for the Mini 9/10 from Brando Workshop. It is 100-240V AC, with a set of 4 interchangeable plugs to different outlet types. I'll include that as well. Wait, wait, I found something else! I have the Dell factory-provided 2gb USB flash drive that has their build of Ubuntu Linux on it. I think it must be a 9.x version.... long story how I happened to obtain it, but I'll throw that in, too! Asking $250 shipped in the US. My friend is the one that bought this, I just recently got the Mini from him. But we are having an issue. The problem is for a mini with 2gb of ram and a 64gb runcore, it runs extremely slow. I have one with 1gb of factory ram and a factory (slow) 16gb ssd and it flys compared to this one. I am in the process of trying to narrow it down to the cpu, ram or ssd. I'm wondering how long ago you got the ssd? If it turns out to be the culprit, I'm hoping to possibly exchange it if it is still under some type of warranty. I believe I got it back in early 2010. It was purchased for me by a family member, so I don't have the receipt or email confirmation to know for certain. I'm basing that off when it looks like I bought the Mini 9 itself, and that depending on which one it was, was in either January or February of 2010. I never really noticed the SSD being fast, slow, or mediocre... I just didn't use it enough to really tell...... |
