I've had a few people ask if I carry, or would carry pink as a color option.

Now I do!!

It's a nice "soft" girl pink color - not hot pink or florescent pink; but for lack of a better term it's Barbie pink. Actually that may be some sort of copyright infringement so I'll refer to it as My Little Pony pink. Still infringing? How about "pigtail pink"?

Awesome! Friend has been waiting for pink! Now what color trim, lining, tabs, and threads, etc ... will go with pink?

I recommend sticking to black trim with the pink. The Foliage Green doesn't work so well...

I just got mine in the mail about 20 minutes ago. Here are a few quick photographs of the one Pystopper made for me. I'm getting ready for work, so I didn't have time for proper lighting, etc. but it still looks pretty nice and you can still see the color.

The only thing I don't like is the shoulder strap. It's not very effective because both straps ends are anchored to the back, so if you used it the mini would lean forward a bit. I'll probably end up just removing the straps. I added a few photos of them though.

Regardless, it is much finer than the neoprene sleeve I have and everything else I want fits in the little pocket (adapter, TV antennae, iPhone and a flash drive). Seems to be high quality work!

My mini is a 10 with a 6-cell battery. In the last photo, you can see that it sticks out a little, but not much.

Ah the pink with black looks great, but I definitely prefer Velcro hook and loop instead of buckles. The buckles make the package look too busy for my taste. YMMV! Enjoy!

I ordered Pink Cordura for my friend with the gray slate color lining, black trim and tabs for her new Mini 9 (hoping maybe an all-pink option is possible though).

I agree about it aesthetically. I went with buckles because I already have a plain sleeve and it's my opinion that you can shove more into a buckled bag than you can a velcroed one and still have it be pretty secure. I mostly want it for airports, travel and stuff. A plain sleeve is fine when I'm local.

If I had really thought about it, I would have probably opted for velcro on the main flap (where the mini is) and a buckle on the little pocket. I'm fairly sure that little pocket can store a passport, wallet, etc. along with the cords and stuff, whereas I probably wouldn't put anything else in the main compartment.

I don't mind it as is though! The color looks really nice with the pink mini. The strap works better if you lean the mini towards you and put it over your body in a sash like fashion, but I'm still not digging it (of course I brought my new case to work!). Again, if I were to order another I'd just get a carry strap.

It's interesting that you say it this way. Initially I was a little taken aback that you didn't like the strap, but it's all about how it's carried. When I first came up with the shoulder strap idea it was intended to be worn as you describe - across the body. It never occurred to me that it would be carried like a purse on a single shoulder! Is there an "I'm a moron" emoticon somewhere I can insert here?

The other thing I try to keep in mind in the design of these is how the stresses are applied when worn and used. This is an excellent example if you have the patience to read through the rest of this paragraph... If I anchor the shoulder strap at the top of the flap so that you get a dead hang, half of the weight of the sleeve is transferred to the front closing mechanism, be it the hook/loop or the buckles. While both are sturdy, probably more than enough for the application, it doesn't seem to make sense to risk an accidental opening at an inopportune time. With the buckles and pocket on the outer flap you can really see how this would be important - all that stress would be transferred to the main buckles attached to the outside of the outer pocket, which then gets transferred to the closing mechanism of the pocket itself. I'm sure it would hold just fine, but even then the flap will always be trying to open the pocket.
