Anguish - Thanks for the guide. Newbie here, but thanks to your great vid, I was able to upgrade to 2GB!

To all those thinking about it: it's not as bad as it looks (disassembling the whole base of the netbook). Just GO SLOWLY, keep track of all screws and pieces, and double-check that you've attached everything when you reassemble.

I used Anguish's vid coupled with this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_jUF...eature=related

I installed a Crucial module, 2GB 200pin DDR2 SoDIMM (5300) model CT25664AC667 from NewEgg. It can be found here:
Newegg.com - Crucial 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model CT25664AC667 - Laptop Memory

Seems to be working well so far. I'll try to update if I have any issues, but it reads as 2GB in the "About this Mac" screen.

Also, for those just starting out, I used this guide to do the OS install (thanks mechdrew!).
NetbookInstaller 1: USB Installation via Mac | Guides | OS X | mechdrew

I used the OS 10.5.6 retail disc, which I "restored" to an external USB 40gig HD I had lying around. I partitioned it to 2 partitions 9gig (for the installer) and then the rest as a software/upgrade disk.

Thanks again for the great guides on this site, and this RAM upgrade guide in particular. I was pretty nervous to start the upgrade, but once the palm rest came off, there was no going back!

good work, i'm sure plenty of ppl will use this guide. if u don't mind, can i request a supplemental picture version? in some ways pictures are better because of the viewing angles. the dell 9 picture guide was fantastic.

In other words, I just did this along with the video, and succeeded magnificently. I actually got it back together three minutes before Anguish did because I'm a d-bag A-type.

Thanks, Ang! Great help.
lol @ d-bag A-type.
