my wife's mini 12 is white and i've upgraded her to windows 7 RC just yesterday.

other than turning off the visual effects (did leave the theme so it looke pretty) it runs awesome! my wife loves it and it does everything she wants of it.

good battery life, great feeling keyboard, nice bright screen...and with 7 it runs very quickly!

the only thing i don't like is the poor speakers...but she has a nice set of ear buds that she uses and is very happy with it!

Wife's: Dell Mini 12/60gb/1.3mp webcam/BT/Windows 7 RC

I'm thinking of doing the same with mine when the RC goes public next week. Did the install go smoothly? Any problems finding drivers, etc.? I'd greatly appreciate any tips or advice you have.

The sound is poor due to the fact that there is only 1 single tiny cheap speaker!

The fact Dell couldn't even afford another $.25 it would have cost to equip a second of these speakers into the Mini12 told me that Dell wasn't taking this model serously...well that and they didn't go LED screen like the Mini9&10...

The mini9's have this color as an option now?? If so, anyone have a part number for the top case to swap off?

I use a Dell Mini9 with OS X, 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, 802.11n Airport card, and IrDA.

My IrDA Mod...

Very nice color. Mind posting a few more pictures :-) ?

Sold my Mini 9 for a larger netbook, one that's easier on my wrists and hands.
Current Machine: 2010 MacBook Pro 13", 2.4 GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro x64/OS X 10.6.3

And I play with my girlfriend's Mini 10v ^_^.

Interested in using MATLAB on the Mini 10v? Check out my benchmarks!

I like the quality of the display in my Mini 12. I have a S-PVA panel sitting on my table next to it and if I compare these two, the minis colours arent bad at all. The brightness range is excellent and viewing angles are fine.

yes, LED seems to be less power hunry, but Ive havent seen any reasonable (real) test telling me how much... If I compare battery life of Mini 10 and Mini 12, i dont see any significant diffence.

To put words to the colors, that looks kind of a pale blue/ slate grey to blue/ pastel blue in the photos. Is that an accurate description? I ask only because sometimes digital cameras throw off colors to the blue side of the spectrum, especially with indirect sunlight on cloudy days.

I love that color. I am currently investigating how to paint my white mini9, which is quite tricky because of the glossy cover. Or, I might get a decal instead.
