And it looks like something a 3yr old would use as their first computer.

In fact, it's so good, I don't want to upgrade it ever and refrain from adding applications.

A netbook is a typewriter for the web. That's what it mainly does. Having some Microgiant bloatware driving up costs and slowing down the processor is the opposite of what people want to buy.

The Dell 9 Ubuntu is the Netbook...as far as I care.
Have you used Windows 7?

It's beyond nice.

Hang up any doubts you have about MS or any platform alliances you feel the need to have, Windows 7 is shaping up to be a really fantastic OS and can be streamlined for netbooks pretty well so far.

I love Mac OS X, but Win 7 is starting to really shape up. I can't wait to test it!

I run Windows 7 on my desktop (vostro 200) which used to run Vista business 64bit. With Vista it was slow, with Windows it flies plus it looks nice and more stable, way to go. They should be close to releasing to manufacturer or will they wait for chrismas sales to push hardware sales again? (which failed with vista by the way).
