This link has a picture too of a potential look of it:

Pretty sure thats a photoshop job done a long time ago by a fan. Likely has no resemblance to anything real if there even is a product in the works

although i will never upgrade the OS for my mini9, i can get the Mac OS X for $25, vista ultra for $19 and XP pro for $14
(College computer store, of course u need to have a student/staff ID to buy it)
also, i can order a mini 9 through the college store with an additional 7% discount.
so upgrading the mini9 not necessary to be expensive

No one has yet mentioned any Apple netbook would likely have a non-user-removable battery; even if it was one of their new ones that lasted five years as they claim, I fear the cost (as so far said batteries are only going into the high end Macbooks). And then there's this little tidbit from Apple's webpage about the battery (http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/17inch-battery/):

Quote:
Apple does not warrant the battery beyond Apple's one-year Limited Warranty.

In the photo about halfway down, it took me a minute to find the Mini in that backpack...

E-Book, not net book?

http://i.gizmodo.com/5168194/is-the-app ... y-an-ebook

I don't think I would like a netbook without a physical keyboard. The average usage of my iPhone is as far I would like to go with a virtual keyboard.

I don't think so that apple would have touchscreen netbook, Look at macbook laptop is traditional physical keyboard.. But If rumor was true, Apple would called MacBook Mini!

MacPad, judging by the picture linked above.. That'd what I'd name it.. It's a pad, and it's a Mac..

A minimally configured apple netbook, (512mb ram & 128g standard HD) will probably cost you about $500, but it will have the form factor that everyone's craving for. On the other hand, I bought my mini 9 on a promotion sale ($50 off), it is sporting 2g ram and 32 SSD for just $320, taxes and shipping included. To upgrade apple's netbook to the same specs, you will probably have to fork over upward $750, just like the Sony P.
