I recently switched to the Lenovo s10 and someone over at another forum was comparing the two. My response was "If Dell made a Mini 10 I'd jump ship" (meaning go back to Dell from the S10).

And here it is...

Meh... I already got my Mini 9. Cheers to those of you who'll shell out for the new one and for those that haven't jumped in already, enjoy!

I'm sure the mini 10 will be great but I don't want anything bigger than my mini 9. Its the perfect size for me. Besides.. all the 10" netbooks seem to use the same 1024x600 resolution. The screen may be a bit bigger but you still have the same amount of pixels..

I think i will stay with the 9 for now. I hear that the 10 will follow the 12s design with the memory soldered to the board and a platter drive instead of the SSD. Upgrading would be a bugger. I just got my mini 2 weeks ago and now my girlfriend uses it so much i had to get her her own one.

Hope I don't need a R capible router... I have invested too much in upgraded routers already :-)

Since the Mini 9 and Mini 12 each only have 802.11g, I'd bet 802.11n. The Mini 12 calls 802.11g "advanced wireless," so I am guessing "next generation wireless" is 802.11n.

WIMAX is interesting though...

The 802.11r standard looks very promising, Wondering if it would require new hardware or just a quick download of a application/program to allow it on the mobile device that is being used. I guess I have to wait for more information to come out about it.

This does have a larger res, 720p, so bigger screen and better resolution. Worth the extra .5lbs and extra features to me.
