Those lucky buggers at
Engadget have been sent an early build of the Dell Streak Android 2.1 update, and done us all a service by giving us a video tour of the updates and features.
It has been revealed that the plan now for the Dell Streaks Android release is actually going to be an Android 2.1 release a early as September by O2 UK, with the possibility of unlocked customers getting it a bit earlier. Here is a list of the positive features highlighted by Engadget, hit the via link below for the full post and a nice video tour.
- Updated Keyboard - No numpad
- 720p video recording w/updated camera app
- Pinch-to-Zoom in Google Maps
- Live wallpapers
- Stock Android photo viewer
- Revamped Dialler App
It's great to finally get some solid info on the Dell Streak, these new features will really do something for the Dell Streaks currently hampered street credibility, and I believe people will start taking it seriously once it has a more current version of it's software running it's already up to date hardware.
