Default Dell Streak Pricing - 06-02-2010, 11:23 PM

We now have confirmed pricing details for the Dell Streak in both the UK and the US, as well as release dates!

Its already been confirmed that the Dell Streak will be free in UK from O2 and the Carphone Warehouse on a £25-35 a month contract, depending on choice of tariff. There'll be data tariffs and voice + data tariffs available. CPWH also said they will sell the unit individually for £429, but with no details on whether it will still be locked to O2. This all happens Friday.

As for the US, it was revealed today at D8, that the Dell Streak will be available through the Dell website for $500, unlocked from next month.

For now you can check out the O2 Dell streak preview page or the Carphone Warehouse product pages, which will no doubt be updated with shopping carts come friday. Personally, I'm going to be eagerly waiting outside one of the O2 stores here in the UK Friday morning

The actual pay-as-you-go price is a surprise, GBP399 not the GBP429 as expected.

If it could be unlocked then the t-mobile pay-as-you unlimited internet booster for GBP20 for six months would make it better value. I can't see being tied to this sort of device for 2 years being a good thing, considering the rate of change of these things.

i received a similar mail to the one just posted, but after filling out the form
i received this mail back -

Hello Paul,

I'm sorry we have not provided you with the network unlatching code you
requested.

Unfortunately we are currently having some problems obtaining codes for
Dell Streak. Henceforth, we are not unlatching Dell Streak device so we
cannot currently guarantee any timescales for a resolution.
Kind Regards
Hitendra

a little bit annoyed about this as i am planning a holiday abroad and want
to purchase a local data sim card for the trip
