Default Still sucks nuts - 03-09-2010, 02:55 AM

I have tried the beta on windows XP and Hulu still sucks balls, in order to get it to stream half way decent you have to use the Pop Out window and then resize it until the screen is the size of an i-pod. So if it takes upgrading to windows 7 in order to streaming video to work I would go and save up for a new netbook.... if netbooks are you thing!!

It's not perfect in Win7, but useable. With the beta update 360p in Huly plays fine, even at full screen, 460p still has some chops although occasionally I get a video that plays through without problems.

The results are similar on youtube.

Reading back through this announcement, the new flash beta and drivers will have no affect on the 10v perfomance?

Correct - nothing for the 10v or 9.

I've found that on my Mini9 under OS X, the beta flash driver significantly improved flash video performance. Not as good as just playing with VLC, but definite improvement compared to previous.

The new 10.1 beta is supposed to be more efficient even with no hardware acceleration so yes you should see some improvement.
