Quite. I mentioned Apple and Adobe because they are notorious for their huge mark-ups outside the USA. I have no problem paying for decent kit, I do object to subsidising others though!

Those of you in the UK could find someone over here in the US willing to buy you one from the US store (I'm not sure if you can do it yourselves) and then you'd save almost 200 GBP (obviously a little less because we'd have to ship it to you lol)

So does anyone know if this thing can be hackintoshed or not? I know the 335M and 4500MHD can as well as the CPU, but what about the GS45? And what is it running for disks? ICH10R? I'm getting one regardless, but I still wanna know...

I wasn't aware of Mac driver support for the 335M GT, and I know the 4500MHD doesn't support Core Image or Quartz Extreme acceleration. You might check your sources on that. I've heard that there is a resolution hack for the 4500MHD, but it never works accelerated.

As far as I've read and heard on the Interwebs, the M11x is the first computer the 335M GT has been used in.

The GS45 uses the ICH9 chipset per Intel's site. Should work with OSX as far as I know.

I strongly doubt the 335M will work natively without Mac actually coming out with a system that has that specific chip in it. Plus I've heard comments throughout perusing some forums that Mac doesn't like the 1366x768 resolution. That part I can't verify.

The ASUS 1201n runs osx at native of 1366x768 beautifully. Really has fantastic display.

Cool - now I know; and knowing half the battle. Myself, I've lost interest in the Hackintosh scene. I ran 10.5.4 on my desktop for awhile, but if I really felt the need to run Mac OS X, I'd just get a Mac. Less problems.

Plus, I still prefer Linux in many ways. Not the least of which is that it's FOSS.
