I use Twitter (some) and not Facebook. I don't know how easy it would be to track Facebook references.

It wouldn't even have to be facebook, which don't use either. How about something that isn't social networking based?

Matt's idea, I guess, is to promote MDM to non-members. Using social networking seems to be the most effective way of doing that.

Yup and I chose twitter as its not too personal like facebook would be.

I'd have to disagree. In some instances Twitter can be more personal than Facebook. All you would have to do on Facebook is create a group or fan club for the site and then let people join it. When they join it it will be posted on your home page which then shows your friends that you joined Mydellmini page.
