Default Alienware to enter the Netbook Market with M11X - 01-07-2010, 04:51 PM

Gamers.....calm yourselves down.. Dells hardcore-gaming brand - Alienware is to release a netbook to the world!

Very limited information is available at the moment but Engadget report that the unit has dual switchable graphics processors and will cost less than $1000.

Personally, I am excited.

I am very curious to hear the specs on that.. Depending on what they are, I may be suddenly in the market for a new laptop..

Nice..... If its built for gaming then others will follow and the prices will come down. Maybe somebody is finally building a netbook that will be performance oriented. Until then I'll keep my mini 9. I just wish Dell would build us an ION powered machine in the 9 or 10 inch size. The Broadcom is a good idea but it will probably fall short compared to the ion design.

Like I have said from the beginning. We (including myself); are trying to make netbooks something they were never intended to be. Take a walk down memory lane and think back to what the original netbooks were and what they (we are trying to make them) are becomming.
In a way its a little scary. And it makes ya think "What's next", food for thought. fdalbor

Nuts! And I just finished reassuring my wife that I won't be buying any new laptops for a long, long time. Guess I'll have this one delivered to the office and keep it hidden from her, LOL!

It isn't a netbook, it an ulta portable class laptop. It is similar to the Inspiron 11z whith better graphics and CPU. Engadget has their own hands on with the 11x Alienware M11x hands-on -- Engadget.
