Unfortunately, it also "Osborned" the 1012, saying that Dell would revise it mid-year to include a different trackpad with separate buttons. There's also the comment that there's a place for extra ports on the back, should they be needed in future revisions. Mini 9|2GB RAM|64GB RunCore|Intel 5300|Windows 8 |

Basically I got the max version: 250gb harddisk and 1366x768 display. Too bad here we do not (yet) have the option for umts cards as it is available in the us now, and I'd not have said no to the boradcom hd decoder chip and tv option. What I also noticed is that it appears they have removed the high resolution 1366x768 display option from the choices, both in the us and in europe (austria). Luckily I got mine with it before that choice was removed. I agree with previous posters that the new dell mini 10 does not look as nice as the previous one with the display not covering all he base of the netbook. My reasons for choosing it where the better battery live and the only choice of the new pinetrail netbooks available with a high resolution display (for normal reading i'll reduce it, or zoom in, but it can be helpful with large excel sheets or some minor games like eve online where i'd at least like to update skills or so. I'll let you know of my impressions once i've recieved it. |

Well finally they shipped a new vostro but as I told them that I would be away for xmas it arrived and fedex returned it. I then contacted them again on Jan 3rd and they said it would ship, it did not, but today it arrived and guess what its is mini inspirion 1012 with windows 7 preloaded. Well the unit was for my daughter and she is thrilled with it. First thing I did when I managed to get my hands on it was run the HD .. standard wildlife movie that comes standard with and it ran like a dream.. I love my mini 9.. Its much lighter and its cute. But the new mini 1012 is just right for the younger generation .. But now think of this .. Bought for my daughter on November 20th and finally get a working one on January 18th |
