On hour after posting, I found my 1012 on the Canadian site and ordered it. ETA 25 days.

Unknown at this time. This is why people are chipping in to buy melkort a 1012 so that he can try to make it work. Unlike the 910 and 1011, the 1012 is unlike any existing Mac inside.

Not to be stupid but wouldn't Dell make more money selling OSX compatible machines (and not flat out saying it). They wouldn't have to provide support either!

You're probably talking additional sales in the hundreds.. maybe low, low thousands. Hackintoshing is still a largely underground phenomenon.

Dell loves those optional soundbars on their LCDs, and they work well for the price. I'd get that one.

Darned if I know. I assume that Dell will eventually offer these. They do have sound bars that attach to the bottoms of their monitors. I have one on an older system and it works well.

Dell's soundbars are for their LCDs only currently. I haven't seen one for a laptop, so this would be a first.

The LCD soundbars are designed to snap on the bottom of the display and have a very short power cable (which connects to compatible Dell LCDs.)
