The Dell mini 9 is NOT sold out in Australia, they are just unavailable form the Dell website.

I received my 3 Dell Minis in less than one minute by purchasing them retail, I actually discovered them in the shops even before they disappeared from the website and was happy to do away with all the waiting for delivery

Retail price is currently the same as the online price in Australia

Still no luck on the online ordering, website now says ordering of the white colour will be available online from the 20th of October...

Yeah I phoned them and emailed them about that - website was showing October 16 for most of today, October 16.

The white is however available if you hit the right link, I discovered it accidently and ordered one - damned if I can get back to the link now though :cry:

Australian Dell website now shows white being available from October 20 (changed from October 16 after it had passed), customer service confirms this new date IS correct. Officeworks still have stock in many stores so the mini has never actually been sold out in Australia at this point.

Good news: Mini 9 (white) is not available to order in Aust/NZ

Bad news: (as I predicted earlier in the thread) The price has gone up :evil:

Aust $599 -> $699
NZ $799 -> $949

not impressed... no longer netbook pricing because I can get an aspire one for $699 after cashback here in NZ.

I agree, the price rise is most unwelcome...

Same sort of thing here in Australia too - the Aspire one can be picked up for $449 after cashback

I would suggest that Aussies pick up a Mini 9 from Officeworks, they're still $599.
Got an associate who was in Sydney yesterday to get me one from there, so I now have in my hand my own Mini 9! And I got the GST back on it too
