Default The Vostro A90 is no more! - 12-10-2009, 03:08 PM

This is it. All close relatives of the Dell Mini 9 are now totally discontinued.
It appears that the Vostro A90 has finally outlived its shelf life on the Dell website. However, all is still not lost as there are still a very limited number of Dell Mini 9s at the Dell Outlet, obviously there is little/no choice for outlet products, but if your heart was set on that cute little 8.9 inch screen it's your only option.

RIP the Vostro A90!

Thanks to 99bluoval for pointing this out!

This is becoming just like the "going out of business"/"Store closing" ads I see every day on the TV. Very good chance it will be back, Dell has shown time and time and time and time again that "discontinued" is never forever

The A90 will be missed. I'm wishing I'd picked up a 2nd one so I could have it as a spare.. don't wanna mess with the outlet though. I'll wait for the Mini 9 with ION that I'm sure will be coming out soon.

I doubt there will be any more 8.9" display netbooks from major vendors. 10.1" is the new minimum size.

Yeah, where is this info coming from. It's been 'discontinued' for over 6 months but keeps popping up.

A co-worker picked up a two Mini 9s for her kids for Christmas (we're allowed to say that right?).

Black and white, 1/8 configuration with XP home for $229 each shipped. We found them on Tiger Direct on 12/9. Not there now but they keep reappearing.

As of this moment there is only 1 mini 9 in the outlet: for $350.00 with a 32GB SSD.

a few weeks ago, i saw many vostro a90 at the outlet for $189-$199. they were on sale for over a week. Then all of a sudden...poof, all gone. I guess this is it. i wish i picked up another. the mini9 will be missed. but i have to admit I'm liking my new hp mini.
