 Many of you have been getting your lovely new Dell Mini’s and reformatting them straight away to remove all the bloatware which Dell throws on. Those of you who are looking to get the Bluetooth adaptor working without having to install the whole WIDCOMM software on the drivers disc, which can only be seen as a load of bloatware can now use a modified driver.The modified driver uses the built in Bluetooth stack in Windows XP which uses a lot less resources and does everything the WIDCOMM can. I purchased my Mini from QVC- they offered a 3-year warranty as part of the package. What they didn''t include was Bluetooth. Is there an aftermarket product that I can add to the Mini, without too much work? Thanks! |

I just installed this driver. I do not know what happened but my Mini just got faster with Bluetooth intact. I checked and the OEM Bluetooth service is gone and not hogging resources. I highly recommended this driver. gordy |

i uninstalled the widcomm software and windows automatically installed new drivers. how do i force windows to use the downloaded driver and cpl |

let me clarify my statement I get better battery life with these drivers than the widcomm, (about 15 minutes more) I dont know why, but i did test it out twice, as long as my mouse is off, battery life appears improved over the widcomm |
