OK. Mine should arrive in a few weeks. If I find part numbers in the documentation I'll post pack here.

Hmm, if Windows driver support gets up to snuff and actually releases the full power of the GMA500, I would consider getting a 10. High-res screen + 2GB + GOOD DRIVERS = WIN.

As much as I would like to Hackintosh it, I have a MacBook, so I can live w/o OS X on my Mini. I'm enjoying Windows 7 RC on my Mini 9 right now.

Sold my Mini 9 for a larger netbook, one that's easier on my wrists and hands.
Current Machine: 2010 MacBook Pro 13", 2.4 GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro x64/OS X 10.6.3

And I play with my girlfriend's Mini 10v ^_^.

Interested in using MATLAB on the Mini 10v? Check out my benchmarks!

You can purchase the Dell Mini 10 with 2GB option by clicking here.

There are a few catches however, currently it is only available in the USA and the GPS and TV Tuner additions are not available with this config. You may be glad to hear the that HD screen is though. It looks like all these little niggles are destined to be ironed out in the near future, so keep a close eye on the Direct2Dell blog and our news feed if this is relevant to your interests.
I think Dell has waited a bit too long to offer the 2meg option for the 1010. Looking at the setup guide that came with my 1010; it was listed as an option back in early June when I bought my system. While I don't doubt Microsoft had something to do with the only offering it with The V word OS; Dell has p---ooed quite a few owners by not making it available until now.
And no one knows if it will even work in the earlier versions of the 1010. It is quite possible its Impossible to fit it into the older Mini's. Sounds like Dell is just getting ready for the release of Win 7.
As for myself I am quite happy with XP and 9.04 on my 1meg system. I don't plan to upgrade. Maybe in the future when faster processors and other options are available I might change my mine. But I plan on doing alot more research before I buy another netbook especially one from Dell. fdalbor

(NVidia) ION-based PCs have will with an 9400M GPU, which is way ahead of the current graphic capabilities of current netbooks. The upcoming Lenovo S12 will be one such powered device.

It doesn't look like they offer the 2GB anymore, at least not in configuring a system.

I spoke with Dell the other day and the correct part number for the 1010 daughterboard with the z530 and 2gb is R031P, the only 2 catches is 1st of all the price he gave me was $554 (USD) and 2nd it would void your warranty putting it in...too rich for my blood...oh well, maybe down the road it will become cheaper, I think they price it that way to dis-courage us from ordering it...you know what?....it does just that..

It is ridiculous the 2gig option is still available here The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

and start at $762. So for them to try to charge $552 for a 2 in one card is asinine. What is does is encourage me to go elsewhere for my next laptop as the 1gb is VERY limiting. I have been a Dell customer for over 10 years and this is very poor. I talked to an online rep today with that part number and she said you cannot even order it. Looks like a new vendor for me.
