I kept getting the terminal, "we are moving up the arrival date" emails.

Then I got the if you don't contact us in 24 hours we will cancel your order.

So I called them and said do not cancel the order.

Then I got an email that stated because I did not contact them they canceled my order.

So I called back and raised HOLY $%^#ing HELL with them as to WHY DID THEY CANCEL MY ORDER?

"They said there were no more parts to build another for me and they were sorry but that is the way it goes sometimes"

I said BULLCRAP!

UPON THE 5th FARSI Speaking person answering the phone they decided that they did indeed screw me and when it was all over I was sent an invoice for the Mini 10 with:

32GB HDD
TV
GPS
1GB RAM
Windows
LOJACK
2 years Warranty
Bluetooth
and a bunch of other crap I could care less about for a grand total of...

$246 shipped

That was the cost of the Mini 9 I ordered.

The moral of the story is beware. If you are waiting for your Mini 9 you may get nothing unless you YELL REAL LOUD.

The invoice has multiple discounts on it that total over $400

You lose some, you win some.

They big deal is to see if I actually receive that one...

I got this in an email and thought you folks might be interested... I do SURE wish I had a couple hundered buck to spend on another one right now... I am loving Ubuntu so much that I have been putting off my scary MacOSX install. I would love to have both!

Funny thing though, when I click on it... it only shows mini10 and 10v... no Mini9 to be seen.

Although I managed to buy a Dell Mini 9 a few weeks ago, on a lark I tried this link and it took me right to the discount configure page. I kept my options minimal, and it took me all the way to "checkout" showing the $40 discount. It is possible that this deal is still available. If not the $40 discount, maybe the Mini 9 is still available, and that is a find by itself. Good luck to anyone who is looking.

So...what did you decide? Great deals both!!!

Is this from the link posted here, which I just referenced, or another source? Or are they refurbished? I understand the hard-to-decide.....I wanted the 9 because it will be easier to lug around during the day, if I want to. It fits in my purse! (Which says a lot about my purse..ahem!)

But the 10 has it's advantages as well. I'm glad I'm done, although I'm always tempted when something like this comes along.....
