I'd really like to know where in the UK I can get one of these from. Or if I can order from this site (without a credit card), I really LOVE 32GB or even 64GB in my Mini 9. Means I could actually take my iTunes Library with me for once. I have to put up with 8GB + 16GB SDHC card.

Dell Mini9 Vodafone. Windows XP 8GB SSD, 16GB SDHC, 1GB RAM. Custom Fingerprints and scratches. _

I have some news.

The Master MiCro USB port on the Dell has been scraped. Not Runcores fault or my own. Dell did not make the PCI-E slot with a USB bus like in the Asus. The current Dell product on the site is the final product.

We have only 17pcs 32GB and 33pcs 64GB left out of the 1st shipment. If you don't want to wait untill the 8th you better move fast.

MDD

Dell Mini 9 XP, Runcore 64GB, and Transcned 2GB RAM upgrade. Now using as my work and play pc.

I got my order in. No biggie about the USB port. If it's still there as an inbound port, that still opens up some options for people.

Same here...I'm just glad that there are decently priced and config'd SSDs made just for the Mini.

In the products description on MDD site, they mention the Slave micro usb port...I'm assuming that is the one we'll get. So what is the difference between the Master and Slave usb ports, as far as these SSDs go? Will it be useful to us?

32GB looks like it would be enough. Impressive benchmark speeds!

Slave port means that the drive, before it is installed into the machine can be hooked up to the machine with a USB cable, so that you can image the original drive onto the new drive, so when you swap SSD's, you'll boot back up like nothing changed. It'll just have more space free (and there's a good chance it'll go faster too).
Master isn't worth discussing, we're not getting it.

But if i purchased a 32 or 64 Ssd, Are we Mini 9 owners able to partition and dual boot o/s's ?!?

So in short are SSD (runcore) Partitionable / dual-boot-able....

haha. Agreed. She's running the 8GB without any issue so far. Truely using her machine as a netbook is expected. Web mostly. Maybe I'll grab two 32gb's.
