I don't remember the exact day of the order (64ga) - it was right about the time they were fulfilling the backorders on the 64s, and expected a few left over; a week to ten days ago, maybe?

I know everyone wants their drive ASAP, but given supply and demand, and the fact that MDD doesn't charge until shipped, I really think they're doing the best with the circumstances presented to them. I just accepted that the drive(s) would ship when my cue came up and the drives were in hand... whenever that occurred. It sure appeared that was the way they were handling things.

If you have an order in, my suggestion would be to call or e-mail them and ask them for the latest information they have, and... if you won't hold their feet to the fire, ask for a 'best guess'. They were extremely helpful and matter of fact when I called on my first order (initial backorder w/ disaster, and supply problems). It seems the drives are flowing a bit more often, so who knows, maybe the manufacturer is catching-up with the demand and the month waits are over. I just might have been lucky with my timing on this last drive.

Wow - according to their web site they have all three sizes in stock now! Can it be true? 64 GB in stock??

Also - I though that MDD took Paypal, I could have sworn I saw a Paypal logo on their web site at one point or another.

We do currently have some stock of the 64GB drives but we are getting such an influx of orders that may change that very soon.

We do accept PayPal as well as Google Checkout but we are still working on having both integrated into our shopping cart. Customers can call us toll free at 866-217-1800 and request and invoice or fill out our Invoice Request Form at the following link:

http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com/WSWrap ... stForm.htm

Once we get your call or invoice request submission, we send you an invoice for your review and approval. As soon as we see the invoice is paid, we will ship your items right out.

After waiting in line impatiently, my very own 64GB Runcore SSD arrived yesterday.

Straight out of the package I attached it via the included USB to my iMac (first under OSX, then under Vista, and then on my Dell Vostro A90).

Attaching it gives me the error that "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer."

Under Disk Utility it shows up as "JMicron Flash CR Loader Media" with no partitions / unformatted and with a total capacity of 1.9GB.
Trying to partition / erase / format it gives me an i/o error.

I found someone with a similar problem with a 32GB Runcore through Google: JM-Loader 001 (4GB) issue - Help - TweakTown Forums

Is this a way of it telling me that it is DOA or is this something I can fix?

Unfortunately when it reads as "JMicron Flash..." it means the firmware is gone on the SSD. We would be more than happy to get you set up with an RMA to have that replaced. I completely apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Chris (MDD Tech Support)
