I must say I have seen a problem where the computer can't partition a SSD drive while it's inside the computer. I know this sounds super strange, but it happened with my brand new runcore that I got from you. I had to make the partition on my other pc via the usb cord included, before windows 7 would install on the drive. For some reason windows 7 refused to create the partition on it. No idea why.
Maybe that's what's happening with my stec... The drive won't partition, because the enclosure is bad and it won't partition in the computer similar to what the runcore ssd did.

actually this rings a bell for me. I recently purchased a 64gb runcore t-style, and put my old drive into the supplied enclosure and similar results. the drive showed up briefly on a macbook, but shortly after it would not respond. since i didn't really need the drive or enclosure i didn't do any more testing nor put it back in my mini. it's all just sitting in a drawer. if there is a possible problem, i could test it if the information would be useful. --> not looking for any replacement or anything.

You may have the same issue that many others did with the T drive - pins or traces on the underside of the board shorted out against the mounting posts. A piece of electrical tape on the underside of the board may help.
