Default Me and MDD (and the hoops i went though to recieve the wrong part) - 12-02-2009, 10:30 PM

Ok. So MDD is not exactly on my good side right now. In fact, far from it. About Nov 2, I ordered a "RunCore 32GB Pro IV 50mm T-Style PCI-e PATA Solid State Drive SSD." I was happy as I had some extra cash to spend on my mini (Inspiron 910) I had gotten for my birthday some time ago.

I was Back-ordered, but i figured "ok it shouldn't be long a week or 2 at most." Three weeks later, i email MDD asking what the status was of my order. "Oh its back ordered." Well, yes that is what the site had said for quite a while. I was expecting that they would be at least shipping out to the customers that had orders.

Then a few days ago I had enough. I asked a sales rep (Coleen?) to change my order to a normal ssd from the same manufacturer. Runcore was, after all, highly recommended by this forum.

Today I received my ssd, imaged it, and proceeded to install it. It didn't fit. "Well that is odd." I looked at the model #. then i looked at the invoice they emailed me. "Oh f!@#."

I have had it, to say the least.

Hey, sorry to hear about your recent troubles with MDD. But, I have to say, this is the total opposite of my experiences with them. I have ordered 4 drives from them in the past few months, and every transaction was flawless. I'm about to order a 5th one tonight. I hope it all works out for you. I just wanted everyone to know that your experience may not be typical of their total service. And, I certainly hope you get your situation straightened out because the product is fabulous.

By the way, I am in no way affiliated with MDD other than being a happy customer. Until I decided to start "upgrading" my minis, I had never even heard of them. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that bobbiac...and I know how u feel..Mine I had to wait for about 3 weeks due to back orders and when it arrived I did manage to install OS and works fine for the first few hours and then it died on me...not even a day it died. Return the Runcore Pro IV 32Gb on the 3rd November and still waiting for the replacement.. The worst part is since I am in Malaysia I had to courier back to MDD and it cost me a whopping USD50 just to return the defect product and still waiting for a replacement ...Since I had to to pay for the return I requested to be upgraded to 64GB..its already a month all I got was an email from MDD saying they are sorting out the back orders..I dont know how long do to wait..I am trying to be patient
